Our Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) This is an evidence based practice which assists the client with reconstructing negative thoughts, and negative core beliefs about themselves, the world, or others. Negative beliefs/thoughts affect the way a client feels, which, in turn, affects how they behave and respond. CBT begins with first evaluating a client's history (from as far back as they remember to present) to assess for unresolved past experience, which impacts the client's present day existence. CBT does consist of therapy homework to assist the client with expanding on their treatment goals outside of the session. CBT is best used for depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek therapy. SFT is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change. SFT is best used for depression, anxiety disorders, stress, anxiety, behavioral problems, parenting, and psychosocial and interpersonal problems.

The goal of this treatment modality is to assist clients with eliminating triggers related to their trauma. EMDR is best used for PTSD, CPTSD, Physical and sexual assault, Domestic Violence, Childhood abuse, and witnessing traumatic experiences.
