Lindsay Bledsoe, LPC

Hello! I am Lindsay Bledsoe. I am a cat mom to two spoiled cats and I also run a soap business in my spare time. I have a passion for mental health and a constant need to learn new research and treatments to stay up on relavent information.

Who I Work Best With

I work best with adults ages 18 and older who are looking for a collaborative, affirming space to explore healing, relationships, identity, and personal growth.

I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ clients, couples and non-traditional relationships, as well as individuals navigating religious deconstruction and religious trauma.

My experience also includes working with individuals navigating:

  • OCD
  • PTSD and complex trauma
  • Religious trauma and deconstruction
  • Chronic illness
  • Abandonment wounds
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship concerns
  • Couples and non-traditional relationships
  • LGBTQIA+ related concerns
Mental Health Conditions & Specialties

My areas of focus include OCD, PTSD, trauma-related concerns, religious trauma, deconstruction, chronic illness, and abandonment wounds.

I have specialized trauma training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have additional experience from my time working with the Crisis Center.

I also have a special interest in couples and non-traditional relationships. I am trained in Gottman Level 1 and Level 2, with additional training focused on arguments and affairs.

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Psychology Research, where my research focuses on developing a protocol for treating religious trauma.

My Approach to Therapy

A therapy session with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and personalized. I believe that much of the meaningful work in therapy happens outside of the therapy room, so I often provide practical tools, reflection, and homework assignments to help you continue your progress between sessions.

I believe therapy is soul work. My approach often considers the connection between the mind, body, and spirit, allowing us to explore healing from a more holistic perspective.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, provide guidance and professional insight, and help you develop the awareness and tools needed to create meaningful change.

Whether we are processing trauma, working through relationship concerns, exploring identity, or addressing longstanding patterns, we will work together to create an approach that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

What Sessions Feel Like

You can expect sessions to feel welcoming, collaborative, and individualized. We will work together to understand what is happening beneath the surface and identify practical ways to support your healing and growth.

Depending on your needs and goals, sessions may include trauma processing, relationship work, therapeutic education, reflection, or practical exercises to continue between sessions.

I believe therapy should extend beyond the time we spend together. My goal is to help you develop tools and insights that you can carry into your everyday life, relationships, and personal journey.

Why Clients Choose Me

Clients who work with me often appreciate my collaborative and holistic approach. I am passionate about creating a space where clients can explore difficult experiences honestly while feeling accepted, understood, and supported.

My specialized training in EMDR and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, along with my experience working at the Crisis Center, allows me to support clients navigating trauma, relationships, and complex life experiences.

I also have a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and individuals navigating religious deconstruction and religious trauma.

As I pursue my PhD in Psychology Research, I am continuing to deepen my understanding of trauma and working toward developing a research-informed protocol specifically for religious trauma.
